Mojo Moments!

So I had a day off from work and my husband took the kids for a couple of hours. My mojo was in full swing! First, I used Amy's sketch from the Paper Popsicles' blog. Why don't you head over there and try the sketch out for yourself? You have until Tuesday, July 7th, midnight EST to load up your card. The winner will receive 3 digital designs. Be sure to check out all the NEW designs in the Paper Popsicles store. There are a few new releases this week including some way cool 4th of July images!! Here is the sketch and what I did with it this go around.

I flipped it around, created a window and used my Wild Card cartridge.

Here is a card I made using the Peacock digital image from the Paper Popsicles' store and my watercolor pencils. I am finding that my coloring skills are getting better the more I practice. The stickles are really helpful too~

I actually found some peacock feathers on a ribbon for way cheap so they were a perfect addition to the card! This next card was using up some old paper and diecuts I had and thought I better use up.
This pink one is from my dear Hannah who is trying her darndest to imitate her mama:
I have seen so many versions of these butterfly cards. So simple and beautiful. Many people have been using a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I don't have punches, so I used my Making Memories Slice. It was perfect for the job!
This is a simple card I made for my nephew who just bought his first home at 20 years old. I am proud of him. We are sending him some Menard's gift certificates to spend. Again, I used my most favorite newest cartridge for my cricut, Wild Card.
And finally, a popsicle card. I used Sure Cuts Alot to make the cut.

Dug around for some popsicle sticks in my stash too.

Whew! Thanks for looking and as always....HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Paper Popsicle Card and it's a Bad Day to be a TOOTH FAIRY!!!!

So this week's card challenge at Paper Pospicles is this sketch, made exclusively by Amy Duff for Paper Popsicles. She is such a card diva!! Why don't you try the sketch this week and load it here using Mr. Linky. The winner will receive 3 digital designs. Be sure to check out all the NEW designs in the Paper Popsicles store.
This is what I did with the sketch. I so love using up scraps of junk I have laying around in my stash!!!!

Today, Hannah had to have 3 more teeth pulled. I am so scared of dentists, so I have dear hubby take her again. For some reason, her grown up teeth grow BEHIND the baby teeth. You can't wiggle those buggers if you life depended on it. Check out the SIZE!
And here is a close up. She is such a trooper!
It is amazing how much her face changes with some teeth missing! I guess the tooth fairy will go broke tonight. Three teeth to pay for. Sheeshk!
Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

Louie Louie...

Can't you just hear that song now? Here is our Louie! He is so sweet and very good and CALM for a 10 month old puppy.
However sweet he is, he is NOT photogenic. I have tried so many times to take a picture of him. This was the best I could get (sometimes I amaze myself!)

Miscellaneous Saturday...

Well I was suprised this week to find this on my doorstep!
Isn't that the coolest bouquet? I just love it! Such a special friend sent that to me (although DH claimed at first it was from him...ha!)
Then I had to make end of the year gifts for the teachers. I found these wooden pencil boxes at the dollar store (Woop woop!). After some scraps and supplies they turned out like these:

So much has happened in the last 2 weeks that I can't even keep up! On Thursday we welcomed a new member of the family, LOUIE! He is a 9 month old supposedly yorkiepoo. We think he has more schnauzer in him but that is ok. The point is that he is small. He weighs 12 pounds and is the sweetest smartest pup!

Then, our second child graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday as well. Only one more child to go!

So here is a card I forgot to post as part of Sketches! by Tamara. The Thursday's sketch was this and below it is what i did with it. How embarrassing this week! I thought it looked so much cuter in my head!!!
At least i used a digistamp from Paper Popsicles again. I really love those but I need more stamping practice!

Mom...

My grandmother passed away last August. My mother had asked if I would make a page for her about grandma and frame it. I finally finished it after waiting for my aunt to send pictures and then finding a perfect layout design for the photos. Mom and Dad come home in a few days from their Florida home. It will be a late Mother's Day gift for her as well as a mini acrylic album I made for her with additional pictures of grandma. I love looking at these old photos of grandma. Paper popsicles always has ongoing challenges, themed events, and sketches, blog candy, fun, and games. This week's challenge was to create a layout about Yourself as a mother figure. This is what I came up with Thanks for looking and HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Autograph Anyone?

A co-worker headed off to Disney with her 4 year old daughter and gramma and grampa. I thought it would be a great send off to the happiest place on earth, if they had an autograph book to use.

Another Card completed!

Have you ever stumbled upon a blog or a site and saw something that really spoke to you? Well, I did at http://www.digiments.com/. A new site that is debuting their first digital sentiments set tomorrow. And to boot, they are offering a free set to a card designer of the sentiment on their site "Wheresoever you go, go with all your Heart." -Confucius

This card came together very quickly for me which so helped my mojo!
